Okey ’Pat’ Monroe Hamrick, Jr., 73, of Battle Ground, WA, peacefully passed away on December 16th, 2018 of lung cancer.

He was the son of Okey and Elva (Lawler) Hamrick and grew up in Woodland, WA with his sister Hope.

Okey was a Vietnam Veteran and honorably served in the Navy SeaBees 1963-66.

After returning from Vietnam he met and married Cheryl Carter in 1967 and had three children.

Okey’s primary occupation was in HVAC maintenance mechanics and he retired from Battle Ground School District in 2010.

His hobbies included welding and hunting; but his greatest love was fishing. If the fish were running, he was on the water.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 23rd at 1:00 PM at the Lewis River Golf Course Lodge in Woodland, WA located at 3209 Lewis River Rd., Woodland, WA 98674. Graveside Service to follow at the Frank Abel Cemetery in Woodland, WA
