Patricia “Pat” Baker Rose

On June 25, 2018, surrounded by the family, Patricia “Pat” Baker Rose passed away from cancer in Vancouver, Washington. Pat was born in Portland, Oregon, on February 13, 1930 to Glenn F (died March 17, 1947) and Frances L.(Powell) Baker (died on December 18, 1899). She lived at Beaverton, Oregon; Goldendale, Washington and most of her life in Vancouver, Washington (Walnut Grove area).

Patricia attended a two-room school in Walnut Grove, and graduated from Vancouver High School in 1948. Pat was an Administrative Assistant at the Clark County Elections, retiring from that department.

In younger years she loved horseback riding. She belonged to the Clark County Saddle Club, along with her mother. She enjoyed gambling with Jan Frio, gardening, camping with family, painting, collecting stamps, coins, antique dishes and watching the Seattle Mariners.

Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Bobbi Rose on October 8, 1989.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Wendie Lee (Chuck); grandson Brandon Lee (Anita); three great-grandsons: Anthony, Joey and Logan; brother Glenn F. Baker (Carol), and two nephews: Kevin Baker and Paul Baker.

As a family, we want to thank Melissa and Celine, for the great care they give to Mom.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the Park Hill Cemetery, on July 28th, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with a potluck lunch to follow, at Glenn Baker’s Home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
